Hiya,
Our server was moved to another datacenter which caused a few little finnicky DNS issues when it was restarted. We have another move (and a major upgrade) coming up and so things should be smooth sailing from there on in.

The server we're currently on got moved to a different datacenter (run by the same people, but a better datacenter!) while they sort out everything to finally move us back to the original server. Iptables then started blocking DNS (which caused the DNS problems Midgen picked up) after it got moved, which we ended up fixing permanently. Ironically, the server had been up for so long we hadn't had this issue before.
I also bought more FB-RAM for our good server which should ease up these random slownesses that occasionally plague us once we finally get back on it.
I've been pushing to have the upcoming move (or return? O_@) take place at ungodly hours so as to not interrupt your reading pleasure. Enough italics yet?
On that note, here's what the datacenter had to say about the upcoming move:
Quote:
In the coming days we'll migrate your drive back into your machine at an appointed time between midnight and 8am EST per previous emails.
That should keep you guys updated as to the status of things!
